Avoiding Child Head Injuries
March 2021
A concussion is a serious injury. A child is susceptible to a concussion in certain activities because they do not exercise the same maturity and judgment of an adult. Children are more likely to take risks that an adult would not. Children also have weaker necks and torsos leading to more head injuries. An article in Snowboard How, states that 53% of head injuries to children could be prevented by wearing a helmet.
